Biblical End Times Prophecy and Forbes Magazine Predictions

What does Biblical end times prophecy have to do with technology? I'm updating my website and blog design this month, yet Forbes Magazine is predicting that Facebook and Google might completely disappear in the next 5 to 8 years, and mobile devices will replace computers and lap tops, including the need for websites.What! No need for websites? What about blogs?And I'm still trying to figure out the Facebook timeline!

The Information Age is part of Biblical End Times Prophecy

Studies show that man's knowledge has increased more in the last 100 years than in all the rest of history combined, and 90% of all the scientists who have ever lived are currently alive.

• I've connected with worldwide friends I haven't seen in years on Facebook.

• I live in California, but one of my sons and his wife live in Finland. Thank goodness for Skype.

• When I was young, we shared a phone line with the neighbors. Now I carry a cell phone with my own phone number—shared with no one.

• We are taking a cruise to Alaska this summer and will head back to Finland for another visit with the kids next February.

• Flying to Finland, I will ride in one of the 5,000 airplanes in the sky at any given time of the day.

• I used to read paperback books, but my Kindle and iPod are easier to carry to the beach.

• Computers didn't exist 100 years ago, and one that fit into an entire room in 1970 now fits in the palm of my hand.

Could it be that we are in a season of time called the End Times? Just a question—don't freak out.

But as for you Daniel, conceal these words and seal up the book until the end of time; many will go back and forth, and knowledge will increase (Daniel 12:4 NASB).

Plan an airplane flight during the holidays and you'll experience the frustration of "many going back and forth." Turn on your mobile device and you'll recognize that knowledge has increased.So if this is the End Times, are you more excited about your new flat screen TV or the reality that Jesus could return soon?One hundred years from now, when we have coffee and a chat in Heaven, what will you tell me about your life here?I'm sure we'll talk about Facebook and the technologies that made life easier and fun, but I hope you'll add experiences that carried eternal value for you.Really—this is your life. Invest it wisely.Now it's your turn: What will you do with the time that is left? What will be your spiritual legacy?
