Does your daily experience seem stuck on repeat?

Sometimes I feel like I am living a version of the 1993 comedy film, Groundhog Day.

You know the movie. Phil (Bill Murray) is a TV weatherman covering February 2nd, Groundhog Day, in Punxsutawney.

For unknown reasons, he gets trapped in a time loop that keeps repeating itself. His life becomes a series of the same day.

Every 24 hours, he wakes up in the same place, meets the same people, and falls into bed the same way.

Over and over and over again.

Kinda like I felt being older and asked to shelter in place at home.

I’ve been doing this since late February, and it is now the end of July!

Like Phil, I’ve learned some new skills, or at least I’m trying to.

I’ve worked on my relationships with the people who inhabit my same-day life.

And I’ve grown closer to the Lord.

But something in our daily experience is missing!

As we grow older, we crave something fuller, deeper, and more real than what we’ve experienced when we were younger and feeling the world’s freshness.

We want to feel the freshness of another world.

Even as daily challenges pop up, we know we’re in transition. We’ve begun longing for our real home even as we hold on to this one.

It doesn’t matter if you’re still working, in retirement, have an empty house, or adult kids who have rebounded back to your home.

You sense the Bridegroom calling you closer, wanting your full attention—longing to hold you close, laugh with you, and share His secrets with you.

I’m not talking about being so heavenly minded you’re no earthly good. Nope. That’s not the gospel.

You and I are human. We were meant for this world. To live in it, taste it, and impact it. That doesn’t change just because we age.

Because Jesus is also human…

…and He is so much more than human.

Being God incarnate, Jesus wants to expand our vision to see what is bigger than earth, yet fully encompasses this world made of dirt.

Because a new earth is where we will settle down for eternity with Him (see Revelation 21).

A bigger world inhabited by supernatural humans—you, me, and everyone else who calls Jesus, Lord.

Our current world is heading towards a one-world government.

So are we… but our one-world government is ruled by our Bridegroom King.

And YOU are destined to stand by His side as He rules and reigns

You can only learn how to rule and reign His way if you experience His boundless love, discover who YOU are as His bride, and learn to self-govern your soul.

But none of these things can happen, or even make sense, apart from the context of Jesus—your daily experience entwined with His. Especially if you think you’re in a same-day loop.

Does any of this resonate with you?

Because I’ve been hoping you’ll join me in a new adventure—one that wraps God’s love, self-discovery, and learning to self-govern in a daily experience with the Lord of our hearts.

There’s a lot to talk about ahead. Let’s connect next week, and I’ll give you more details.

Look at your same-day life as an opportunity to encompass this world with a much bigger one. Because that’s what we’re going to do.

Hugs,

Susan
