Yes, You Can Wait For God’s Promises. Really.

Don’t you just hate waiting? Who wants to wait to see the conflict resolved, or wait until you can afford a new car when you need one now or wait to have God’s promises fulfilled in your life? You’re part of the fast-food generation, and you want instant gratification. Don’t we all.

But God doesn’t work that way. Promises imply waiting. Otherwise, it wouldn’t be a promise.

I know it’s frustrating when you’ve prayed years for a child who isn’t interested in Jesus. Or your knees blister from one more night of praying for a situation that shows no signs of changing. Waiting isn’t fun and it isn’t easy.

It helps to remember that Jesus is still waiting for some of the Father’s promises to be fulfilled in his life. He’s waiting for the time when he can come and claim his bride. He waiting to see his kingdom fully manifested on the earth. And he’s excitedly waiting to show you the awesome place he has prepared for you.

He’s been waiting a long time. Much longer than you’ve waited.

Yes, you can wait for God’s promises

So . . . if Jesus can wait, you can too. Because he lives in you. Which means his power to wait lives in you.

Learn to rest in his waiting. Picture waiting with Jesus—besides a quiet stream, along a peaceful meadow lane, or in your favorite comfy chair before a cozy fire. You don’t have to do anything but wait.

God is the one who fulfills the promise. You do the waiting.

Have a peaceful weekend, Susan

    YES!!! Susan!!!!

THIS has to be one of the hardest challenges in our Christian walk…at least it has been and still IS for me!!!! It took me a lonnnggg time for me to even embrace this one.
But I’m much better at it now…..probably because of all the practice I’ve had, and will have till I get to Heaven…..that’s a given!!!

However, this I have learned pretty thoroughly……God ALWAYS saves the best for those who WAIT, and who leave the choice to Him!!!!!

Anything worth having is worth waiting for, I say!!!!!

HUGs and BLESSINGs dear friends xx
