You need a Jeanne Robertson humor break today. Yes, you do. Really. If you want to start this week with a better attitude than you had last week, you need a Jeanne Robertson break. So here you go:
(If you received this post via RSS or email and cannot view it, oh well. You missed a good laugh. But . . . you can pick it up on my blog by clicking right here.)
You know Jesus laughs a lot, don’t you? And we’re made in his image. We laugh. Connect the dots—we get our love of laughter from the One who is Joy.
And if it is the joy of this Joyful One who gives us strength, why don’t we tap into that strength more by cultivating laughter (see Nehemiah 8:10)?
Beats me. I wonder if we’re too busy. Too tired. Too stressed to laugh.
If so, it’s a sad commentary on our relationship with Jesus. We’d rather hang out with busy. Tiredness. Or stress.
Jeanne’s right. Life is full of humor if you look for it. Try to hang out with Jesus this week and look for something to laugh about with him. The people around you will appreciate it. Maybe they’ll even recognize who you’re hangin’ with.
Have a joy filled week, Susan
