How to Survive Marriage When Women Multitask but Men Focus

Multitasking women

Why on earth did God create marriage when women multitask, but men focus on one thing at a time? What a combination for miscommunication and frustration! Tim Hawkins shares his advice in this short clip on multitasking. Enjoy!

So funny…it ended before I was thru watching!
I am the one in our house that makes sure the blinker fluid tank is always full…to my dear hubby’s consternation!

Ha, Char! I leave the blinker fluid and everything else “car” to Tom. But I’ve learned not to interrupt him when he’s doing “car” things as I know I won’t have his full attention. I’ll get that blank stare that tells me he is focused elsewhere, and whatever I have to say will be filed in his “hope I remember that” mental file drawer. 🙂

As I age, I don’t do the multi-tasking as well. One evening as DH was getting ready to go to work out of state, I was making dinner and calling about an ad. As the phone was ringing, my husband came into the kitchen and asked if I had washed his underwear. Now focused on DH, I said, “I’ll need all your underwear so I can wash them next.” I soon heard a male voice on the other end of the phone saying, “You want to wash my underwear?” I should have hung up, but in desperation I started to explain the situation while digging myself deeper. He laughed and said, “Ma’am, you don’t need to explain to me why you want to wash my underwear. I’ll be happy to give them to you.” Meanwhile, I notice this big grin on DH’s face.
